Why use this tool

Frequently asked questions

How do I scan a document with my phone and save it as a PDF?

Open this page on your phone, press Take a photo of a page, check the corners, choose a filter and press Add page. Repeat for each page, then press Download PDF.

Is it safe to scan private documents here?

Yes. Everything happens in your browser. The photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded or stored, and they are gone when you close the page.

Why is my page not found automatically?

The page is found by its edge against the background. A white page on a white table has no clear edge, so place it on something darker, or drag the corners yourself.

Which filter should I use?

Clean colour for anything with colour or stamps, Clean grey for photos and mixed pages, and Black & white for plain text, which gives the sharpest print and the smallest file.

Can I scan several pages into one PDF?

Yes. Add pages one at a time or choose several photos at once. Use the arrows to change the order before you download.

Why is the PDF file large?

Each page is a full-resolution image. Leave High quality off, or use Black & white for text pages, to keep the file small enough for email.
