Measure your foot on paper and get your shoe size in EU, UK, US men, US women, kids and Japan sizes, or convert a size you know
How to use
Put a sheet of paper on the floor against a wall and stand on it with your heel touching the wall.
Mark the tip of your longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres or inches.
Enter the length, and the width if you like, to see your size in EU, UK, US and Japan sizes.
Already know one size? Choose Convert a size to see it in the other systems.
Why use this tool
Every size system at once: EU, UK, US men's, US women's, Japan and Mondopoint for adults, and UK and US kids sizes for children, from one foot measurement.
Measured, not guessed: Sizes are worked out from foot length with the standard toe room, and round up when you are between sizes, because a shoe a little long fits and a short one does not.
Width check: Add your foot width to see if your feet are narrow, regular or wide for their length, and which fittings to look for.
Size converter: Turn an EU 42 into US and UK sizes, or a US women's 8 into EU, for buying shoes from another country.
Frequently asked questions
How do I measure my foot for shoe size?
Stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark the end of your longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark. Do it in the evening, with socks, and use the longer foot.
What is EU 42 in US and UK sizes?
EU 42 is usually a UK 8 and a US men's 9, or a US women's 10. Choose Convert a size to check any other size.
What is the difference between US men's and women's sizes?
For the same foot, a US women's size is about 1 to 1.5 sizes larger than a US men's size. This tool uses the common difference of 1 size.
Should I size up if I am between sizes?
Usually yes, especially for walking and running shoes, since feet swell during the day and when active. The finder already rounds up.
Why is my size different in some brands?
Brands use their own lasts, so sizes can vary by half a size or more. These are the standard conversions, and a brand's own chart wins when it has one.
