Online Teleprompter

Scroll your script at a steady speaking pace, full screen, with mirror mode, clicker support and camera recording

How to use

  1. Type or paste your script. The word count and speaking time update as you write.
  2. Set the speed in words per minute and the text size. Around 130 to 150 words per minute suits most speakers.
  3. Press Start teleprompter. After a 3 second countdown the text scrolls past the reading line in full screen.
  4. Pause with the space bar, a tap or a presentation clicker. Turn on the camera to see your framing and record a video as you read.

Frequently asked questions

How fast should a teleprompter scroll?

Most people speak comfortably at 130 to 160 words per minute. Presenters and news readers often sit around 150. Start at 140, then use the up and down arrows to match your natural pace while you read.

How long will my script take to read?

The time under the script is the word count divided by your chosen speed. For example, 450 words at 150 words per minute is 3 minutes.

Can I use it with a teleprompter mirror?

Yes. Turn on Mirror so the reflection in the glass reads the right way round. Some rigs also need Flip vertical.

Can I record a video with it?

Yes. Turn on Camera and recording, open the teleprompter and press Record. The video saves to your device when you stop, without the scrolling text.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Tap the screen to pause and play, and drag to move back or forward. Your phone screen stays on while the teleprompter is open, in browsers that support it.
