Hit 30 targets as fast as you can and see your speed, accuracy and where your clicks really land
How to use
Click the big target in the middle to start.
A new target appears somewhere else each time you hit one. Hit all 30 as fast as you can.
Missed clicks are counted, so speed without accuracy will not win.
Read your average time per target, accuracy and aim map, then challenge a friend.
Why use this tool
Speed and accuracy together: Your score is the average time to hit each target, with accuracy and misses shown next to it.
See where your clicks land: Every hit is drawn on one target, with your average marked, so you can see if you tend to click low, high, left or right.
Fitts's law throughput: The same measure used in pointing research, in bits per second. It accounts for how far and how small each target was, so it is fairer than time alone.
Every target needs a real move: Targets always appear a good distance from the last one and fully on screen.
Mouse, touchpad or touch: Works with any pointer. Try the same test with each to see which you are really fastest with.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good aim trainer score?
With a mouse, an average under about 460 ms per target is sharp and under 380 ms is excellent. Touchpads are usually slower. Scores are best compared on the same device and screen size.
How can I improve my aim?
Keep a steady mouse sensitivity, move from the elbow and wrist rather than only the fingers, and focus on accuracy first. Speed follows once your movements become consistent.
What does the aim map show?
Each dot is where you hit a target, relative to its centre. A cluster off to one side shows a habit, like stopping short of the target or overshooting it.
What is throughput?
A measure from Fitts's law that combines how hard each target was to reach, based on its distance and size, with how long you took. Higher is better.
