A fair random picker wheel for names, prizes and decisions, with weighted chances, sound and share links
How to use
Type or paste your entries into the box, one per line. Names, prizes, restaurants, anything.
Click the wheel, press Spin, or press Space. The wheel slows down and stops on the winner.
Choose Spin again, or Remove to take the winner off the wheel before the next spin.
Press Share to send the same wheel to someone else, or go fullscreen to show it to a class or a stream.
Why use this tool
Genuinely fair: The winner is chosen with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel starts, and the spin is aimed at it. The animation never decides who wins.
Weighted chances: Turn on weights and add *2 or *3 after a name. That entry gets a bigger slice and exactly that many times the chance.
Made for rooms and streams: Tick sound as each peg passes the pointer, confetti for the winner, fullscreen mode and a keyboard shortcut.
Up to 500 entries: Big class lists and giveaway entries fit. Slices too thin to label can still win, and the winner is always shown in full.
Share without an account: The wheel, its title and settings are packed into the link, so it opens the same for everyone.
Frequently asked questions
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is picked with crypto.getRandomValues, the same random source browsers use for security, using a method that avoids the small bias of simply taking a remainder. The wheel is then turned to land on that entry, so how fast it spins or where it started cannot change the result.
Can I give someone more chances?
Yes. Turn on Weighted chances in the Entries tab, then add *2, *3 and so on after a name, for example Alex *3. Alex's slice becomes three times as big and Alex is exactly three times as likely to win.
How do I remove a name after it wins?
Press Remove in the winner box, or turn on Remove the winner each time in Options. Only that one line is removed, so if two people share a name, the other one stays.
How do I pick several winners without repeats?
Turn on Remove the winner each time, then keep spinning. Every winner is taken off the wheel and listed in the Results tab, in the order they were picked.
Can I share my wheel?
Yes. Press Share to copy a link that opens the same entries, title, colours and settings. A class list of 200 names still fits in a short link because the entries are compressed.
How many entries can the wheel hold?
Up to 500. With very many entries some slices are too thin to write a name on, but every entry can still win and the winner is always announced in full.
Can I use it without sound?
Yes. Use the speaker button above the wheel or the Sound switch in Options. Your choice is remembered on this device.
